Dear Friends:

The Permanent Board of the New England Yearly Meeting of Friends met in Durham, Maine, on 11/17/2001. We considered our response to the events of 9/11/2001 and their aftermath, and united on the statement that is attached.

It is the Permanent Board’s wish that this statement be made available on the Web site of the New England Yearly Meeting of Friends, and that it be distributed for release to all interested media.
