A film screening and discussion led by Donna Fann-Boyle (Choctaw/Cherokee), Ramona Woods (Mohawk), Kelley Bova (Dakota), Lynne Azarchi, (ally) and Arla Patch (ally).

The Coalition of Natives and Allies is composed of three Native women and two non-Native women who have been teaching the truth about our shared history with the Indigenous peoples of this land. We strive to build bridges between Indigenous communities, allies, legislators, faith-based and non-profit organizations, state agencies, school administrators, and educators in order to cultivate respect and end racism. After four years of doing this work, we have turned our educational program into a film under the direction of filmmaker Eli Noyes.

This film features both Indigenous and ally voices, a potent historical overview that also shares moving personal accounts of the three Native women in the Coalition. Our social justice goals are to end the use of Native peoples as sports mascots and help both adults and youth learn what they weren’t taught in school. Q and A discussion follows the film.
